University of Michigan, USA

The University of Michigan planned several development and maintenance projects. Urban Circus integrated their plans into a digital 3D environment to help them visualise and address potential impacts.

A new building was planned to be erected directly behind an existing building with historic significance. To provide an accurate visual assessment, we created a massing building and imported it into our 3D model. Then we added some pedestrians, vehicle and site/landscaping objects to provide additional context.

They also planned to replace a piece of mechanical equipment on a rooftop and they were concerned this would be easily visible. We downloaded an exact 3D model of the equipment to be installed and integrated this into the 3D environment to deliver multiple vantage points to demonstrate it would be largely hidden by the roof.

And lastly, we integrated designs of the proposed Ross School of Business into the existing 3D campus environment.
